OFSTED Monitoring Visit - 28 September 2017
On 28 September we welcomed Matthew Newberry, HMI, to our school. The visit was the first monitoring inspection since the school was judged to require improvement following a section 5 inspection in June 2016. During the visit Mr Newberry met with staff, governors, parents and children, he visited lessons and was out and about at break time.
We are delighted that Mr Newberry said that our senior leaders and the trust are taking effective action to tackle the areas requiring improvement in order for the school to become a good school. To improve further we will be taking action to rapidly improve attendance and ensure that teachers make use of the recently improved assessment information to improve their planning to more consistently meet the needs of the children in their classrooms and accelerate their progress.

Spooky Cake Sale

Thursday 19 October, after school outside the Reception classroom
All cakes 50p each, donations welcome! (to the office).

Aaaaand (as if that wasn't enough!) the spooky raffle is being drawn on Friday - win lots of spooky sweets and goodies.

£1 per strip of tickets - buy them from Mrs Simpson by the school gates or in reception classroom.

The PTA and school are currently fundraising for the further development of our EYFS outdoor learning area. In April 2017 we had the first stage completed with astro and play equipment. This has been very popular with our children and our parents. Our aim to raise £10000 by Easter 2018 in order to complete the works.
If you would like to donate or get involved with fundraising please do get in touch with Sam Rhodes, School Business Manager.
You can also donate through the crowdfunding page on Just Giving.
Many thanks
