Last term, we immersed ourselves in the captivating theme of ‘Growth and New Life.’ We delved into books, unraveling the mysteries of plant growth and animal life cycles, serenading ourselves with catchy songs like ‘There’s a Tiny Caterpillar on a Leaf.’ Our creative spirits soared as we experimented with various materials to craft and paint our own vibrant flowers, while also nurturing seeds, witnessing their transformation into thriving plants. Exploring the fascinating life cycles of different animals, we even had our own caterpillars, for whom we lovingly crafted signs to ensure their undisturbed growth. It was a term filled with exploration, creativity, and the wonders of nature!
Our theme was ‘All around the world.’ We embarked on a fascinating journey exploring the map and discovering diverse cultures. Parents graciously shared insights about their home countries, enriching our understanding. We immersed ourselves in Japanese dance and donned Spanish dresses, experiencing cultural traditions firsthand. Crafting passports and writing postcards allowed us to imaginatively travel to distant lands. It was an unforgettable exploration of our global community!
In Reception we had an amazing time balancing with Mr Surman – check out our moves!
