In our Geography, the children have been learning about the United Kingdom. We explored the four countries that make up the UK – England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland – and looked at their cities and capital cities. The children used atlases, along with their own knowledge and ideas, to help support their learning and to practise locating places on a map. They really enjoyed the activity and are becoming more confident in naming and identifying the countries and capitals of the UK. You might like to ask them if they can tell you all four countries and their capital cities!
