In Science, we have been exploring Light this term. The children learned about rainbows and the colours that make up light, as well as how shadows are created. We revisited vocabulary from last week—opaque, transparent, and reflective—and discovered how the sun shining on opaque objects, like humans, can create shadows. We also explored how shadows change length as the sun moves across the sky. The children had great fun using torches to experiment with making shadows longer, shorter, bigger, and smaller!
