This term in Outdoor Learning, the children have been watching the seasons change from Summer to Autumn. They have spent time noticing, listening, and observing how the environment changes in different types of weather. We have been exploring some of the exciting seeds and fruits that appear at this time of year — including conkers, acorns, sycamore seeds, and apples. The children were fascinated to see the variety of shapes and colours, and they used these natural treasures to inspire their own imaginative play. Our young explorers created cafés, shops, and fairy tea parties, using the seeds in their games and showing fantastic teamwork and sharing. There’s also been plenty of fun on the swings and balancing logs, as well as creating obstacle courses and delicious “recipes” in the mud kitchen. We even enjoyed some hot chocolate and biscuits to keep us warm — the perfect treat after a busy day outdoors! It’s been wonderful to see such creativity, curiosity, and joy in every session. What an amazing group of explorers!
