Year 4 have started their new Design & Technology topic all about adapting a recipe. By the end of the term, the children will be adapting a biscuit recipe of their own and will also be designing and creating packaging to match their final product! This week, we began by evaluating a range of biscuit packaging, looking closely at how colour, font, images and information are used to appeal to different customers. We then had the chance to taste and review the biscuits, evaluating their taste, texture and appearance and thinking carefully about the target audience each product is aimed at. A fun (and very tasty!) start to our new unit!
