In Mathematics, we began the term by learning about area. Pupils explored this concept in a practical way by using sticky notes to cover shapes and count how many units were needed, helping them understand that area measures the space inside a shape. We then moved on to multiplication and division, which will continue into Term 3. Pupils used a range of methods — including concrete resources, pictorial representations, and written strategies — to deepen their understanding and build confidence.
