School Meals

Kitchen staff serving children
The Kitchen Team serving our pupils

All of our meals are freshly prepared daily by our fantastic kitchen team. Our menus are changed each term to accommodate the seasons.  We hope to see you all in the hall trying our fantastic menu over the coming weeks and months.

The cost of a two-course school meal (main and pudding) is £2.20 per day or £11 per week and children have the choice between two/three meals depending on the day. Payment should be made by your MCAS app.

You can view a sample menu below. For the current menu please contact the school office who can provide this for you.

Free School Meals

Children in Reception, Years 1 and 2 are all entitled to free school meals in accordance with the government initiative for 4–7-year-olds. This does not affect your eligibility for Free School Meals for families on Universal Credit. You will still need to complete a form from the office and renew this as required.

If your child is in nursery, unfortunately, they are not eligible for Universal Free School meals. However, you can apply for free school meals for nursery children if you are eligible.

Please come to the office for more details.

Healthy packed lunches

As a healthy eating school, we would like to encourage parents and carers to provide a healthy lunch box for their children. We ask that no chocolate, sweets or fizzy drinks are supplied as part of your child’s lunch box. For more information, please have a look at our packed lunch poster and the Children's Food Trusts flyer below.  You can also visit the NHS Healthy Choices website for more packed lunch inspiration!

Dietary Requirements

If your child has a specific dietary need please ensure you let the school office know. Our kitchen team can adapt most of our dishes to suit your child's needs so they don't miss out on their delicious offerings!

Allergies

Some of our children in school, do suffer from severe allergies to particular foods. Although an allergy can happen to anyone at any time, these children are particularly in danger if they come across the allergen that affects them. Therefore, we aim to be a nut-free school. We ask that you refrain from bringing any products that contain nuts into school - this includes ceral bars, hazelnut spread, pesto etc. If in doubt please check the label. You can view our allergy policy here.

For more information on anything related to your child’s school meals please do speak to a member of the Office staff and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
