Our support staff in EYFS are: Sarah Bough, Michelle Oakes, Roslyn Paice, Anam Rashid, Cathryn Simpson and Charli Smith .

The John Henry Newman Academy Nursery takes children from the term after they turn 2 or 3. Places will be for September, January or April for children to start.

We offer a morning session from 8:45 -11:45 and afternoon sessions from 12 -3pm. We also offer full time places at a small fee. Children staying all day can also have a delicious hot lunch cooked by the school kitchen. 

We have spacious attractive, stimulating and fun indoor and outdoor space. The nursery is highly equipped to provide a caring and nurturing environment for your child as they take their first exciting steps into education.

Ofsted (June 2018) have commented  that ‘The early years is well led. Children have good opportunities to flourish across a wide range of curriculum areas and are kept safe’. 

Session Options

Our nursery is term time only and follows the same calendar as the main school, including Inset days which are used for staff training. 

15 funded hours:

Depending on availability, hours can be used on any 5 sessions across the week. (A full day would be 2 sessions)

• Morning session 8.40 to 11.40 pm
• Afternoon session 12.00 to 3.00pm

If you would like your child to do extra nursery sessions its £12.50 per session.

30 Hours Funding, for those who qualify, is 5 full days 8.40am -3pm

If your child attends for a full day you can bring a packed lunch or the cost of a school meal is £2.20 per day. Children have the choice between two meal options. We offer a meat option and a vegetarian option every day along with a fresh salad bar.
